Early summer is peak season for Japanese beetles across North Metro Atlanta. The beetles feed on leaf tissue between the veins, leaving a lacy, skeletonized pattern that can strip a tree's canopy of its green color within weeks during a heavy year.
Ornamental trees, crape myrtles, and certain maples tend to take the worst of it. Isolated damage on a few leaves is usually cosmetic, but widespread skeletonization across a significant portion of the canopy is worth a professional look, especially on a tree already stressed by other conditions this season.
ATL Tree Work serves Duluth, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Norcross, and the surrounding North Metro Atlanta area with certified arborist assessments for pest and disease concerns.
