The home care industry has one of the highest caregiver turnover rates of any sector, hovering around 79% annually. For families who depend on consistent, familiar support for a loved one, that statistic isn't just an industry problem — it's a direct threat to the quality and continuity of care.
Advantage Private Home Care has built its staffing model around a different approach. All of our caregivers are W-2 employees, not independent contractors or gig workers. That distinction matters: W-2 employment means stable income, access to employment protections, and a relationship with an employer who is invested in their success and retention. Our caregivers are also state-verified CNAs, certified through the Georgia Department of Community Health, and they work under the guidance of an RN supervisor who manages care plans and provides ongoing professional support.
The result is a team where people stay. Caregivers who have worked with the same clients over months and years provide a quality of care that simply cannot be replicated by a rotating roster of unfamiliar faces. Families tell us consistently that caregiver consistency is one of the things they value most — not just the help itself, but knowing who is going to walk through the door.
We believe that how a company treats its caregivers directly reflects how those caregivers show up for the people they serve. That's been a core value at Advantage since we opened, and it still shapes every staffing and employment decision we make.
When your family was choosing a home care agency, how much did caregiver consistency and turnover factor into your decision?
