Clearing Tree Limbs Near Power Lines Before Houston's Summer Storm Season Peaks

Post Copy

Every summer, limbs growing into power lines cause outages and hazards across Greater Houston, and homeowners often do not realize how close a branch has grown until a storm brings it down. Utility line clearance is specialized work that requires trained crews, not a ladder and a handsaw.

Champions Tree Preservation's crews are trained to identify which limbs pose a real risk to overhead lines and which ones just need routine shaping. We coordinate the cut so the tree stays healthy while the hazard is removed, rather than hacking away growth without a plan.

This is one of those jobs where waiting costs more than acting. A single storm with high wind can turn a manageable limb into a downed line and a multi-day outage for an entire block.

Do you have a tree on your property with branches getting close to the power lines? We're happy to take a look.
