Spotted Lanternfly Activity on Baltimore and York County Trees This July

Post Copy

Spotted lanternfly nymphs are actively feeding on trees across Baltimore County and York County this month, targeting maples, black walnut, willow, and tree of heaven among other species.

Feeding produces a sticky honeydew residue that leads to sooty mold buildup on leaves and branches, gradually reducing a tree's ability to photosynthesize when left unmanaged through the season.

Healthy, established trees typically tolerate a season of pressure better than young or already stressed trees, which makes early identification valuable.

Serving residential and commercial properties throughout Baltimore County, MD and York County, PA.
