Not every problem tree needs to come down, and knowing the difference can save a healthy tree and a lot of money.
A tree with dead branches confined to one section, minor storm damage, or overgrown limbs crowding a roofline is often a candidate for pruning rather than removal. Signs that lean toward removal include a hollow or split trunk, root damage from recent construction or flooding, or fungus growing at the base.
Location matters too. A declining tree near a driveway or play area carries more urgency than the same tree tucked at the back of a wooded lot. Our certified arborists walk the property, explain what they're seeing, and give homeowners a straight answer instead of a default recommendation to remove.
Do you have a tree on your property you've been unsure about, one that might just need a trim instead of a full removal?
