View Enhancement and Windsail Reduction: Opening Up Bellingham Views the Right Way

Post Copy

Bellingham and Whatcom County properties often have trees standing between a homeowner and the water, mountain, or valley view that drew them there in the first place. View enhancement work opens that view back up without simply removing the trees that give a property its privacy and character.

Windsail reduction is closely related. Thinning a tree's crown reduces the surface area that catches wind, lowering the risk of wind throw or breakage during Whatcom County's stronger storms, while keeping the tree healthy and standing.

Both jobs require a plan, not just cutting. Removing the wrong limbs can damage a tree's long-term health or leave it looking lopsided. We assess each tree's structure first, then selectively prune to balance the view, the wind exposure, and the tree's future growth.

If there's a tree standing between your home and a view worth seeing, or one that worries you every time the wind picks up, it's worth having it assessed.
