Warning Signs a Tree Needs a Professional Assessment

Post Copy

Most hazard trees give warning signs before they fail. A sudden lean, especially after a storm, can mean the root system has partially failed even if the tree still looks healthy. Root heaving, where soil visibly lifts near the base, and deep vertical cracks in the bark are two more signs worth a closer look.

None of these guarantee a tree is about to come down, but all of them are worth a professional assessment from a certified arborist rather than a wait-and-see approach.

Serving Greenville, Greer, Taylors, Pickens County, Spartanburg County, and throughout Upstate SC.
