ISA certification is not a formality. It means our arborists have passed a rigorous exam covering tree biology, diagnosis, and safe work practices, and they keep that certification current through ongoing education. That standard applies across the whole team, not just to a single person handling estimates.
What that looks like on a job site is a crew that can correctly diagnose whether a tree needs removal, pruning, or simply time to recover, rather than defaulting to the most expensive option. It also means recommendations hold up when a homeowner wants a second opinion or a real explanation of what is happening with a tree.
Working with municipalities, commercial construction companies, and Georgia DOT on top of residential jobs has sharpened that standard even further. The same level of care applies whether it is a single backyard tree or a multi-acre clearing project.
When you have hired a tree service in the past, did you ever ask whether the crew was ISA-certified?
