What an ISA-certified tree health assessment checks on a San Antonio property

Post Copy

A tree can look fine from the driveway and still be in trouble. Many of the problems that matter most start where an untrained eye never looks.

When an ISA-certified arborist walks a San Antonio property, the assessment is systematic. We check the root flare and base for fungus and cavities, read the trunk for cracks and included bark, and study the canopy for deadwood, thinning, and heat stress from a South Texas summer.

The goal is to catch small problems while they are still fixable and to flag genuine hazards before they become emergencies. Sometimes the answer is a light prune, and sometimes it is patience with a follow-up next season.

A trained assessment gives you a clear picture of what your trees need, and what they do not.
